Haeundae Beach is Probably the Most Famous Beach in South Korea

Haeundae Beach South KoreaHaeundae Beach is probably the most famous beach in the country. The name Haeundae was named by scholar Choi Chi-Won of the Silla Dynasty. When he was walking past Dongbaekdo Island, he was fascinated by it and left carved words Hae Un Dae on a Stone Wall on Dongbaekdo Island. Haeundae is 1.5km long, 30~50m wide, with an area of 58,400㎡. The white sand is rough and easily sticks to your skin. The sand of this beach is composed of sands that come from Chuncheon Stream and shells that have disintegrated naturally by the wind over a long time. Haeundae Beach is also famous for the various cultural events and festivals held throughout the year. At Haeundae Beach there is a Folk Square where you can enjoy traditional games such as Neoldduigi (seesaw jumping), Korean wrestling, Tuho(arrow throwing), tug-of-War and yutnori. There is also the Beach Culture Center and the Beach Library. Numerous people visit every year from June to August.

Paradise Island is Bahamas Beach

Bahamas BeachThe Bahama Islands consist of over 700 islands and cays, most of which are uninhabited, covering over 100,000 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean between South Florida and Hispaniola. Vacationers enjoy the warm Bahamian reception they receive and the idyllic climate. The temperatures during the summer months are between 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit and in the winter 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Night time temperatures are generally 5-20 degrees cooler. The Bahama Islands water temperature varies between 72 to 84 degrees, winter to summer.

The Bahamas have more than their share of great beaches. There is lots of variety, so there's something for every kind of beach fan. Here are a few for you to take a look at.

Abaco

Guana Beach - considered by some guidebooks to be one of the Bahamas' best. It's a white sand beach, all seven miles of it, and there are lovely palm trees at the edge. Just what you'd expect in a beautiful tropical beach!

Treasure Cay Beach - boasts the endorsement of National Geographic magazine as a superb beach - one of the best in the world. It's another white sand beach. The sand is pure and clean, sparkling white, and there are over three miles of beach to enjoy.

Cat Island

North Shore Beach - Five miles of pink sandy beach, with few visitors, make this beach an idea one for the independent traveler who just wants to relax in peace and harmony with the sea.

Fine Beach - Twelve miles of beach, pink sand, and peace and quiet.

Harbour Island

Pink Sands Beach - rated as one of the Caribbean's best beaches by Caribbean Travel and Life magazine. It's about three miles long, and as the name implies, the sands are pink. Combine that with blue water for a wonderful beach!

Grand Bahama Island

Gold Rock Beach - A white sandy beach that extends for over five miles.

Taino Beach - Close to Freeport, this white sand beach is a great place for you to enjoy the beach with your family or indulge in your favorite water sports.

Exuma

Stocking Island Beach - White sugar sands and very few visitors make this a great beach. It's in the Exumas Land and Sea Park.

Sandy Cay - Another sugar sand beach of tiny white granules. You'll find seclusion here, and lots of shells to enjoy, too.

Nassau / New Providence

Love Beach - This is a great beach if you want to go snorkeling. Book an excursion with a local dive operator, and enjoy acres upon acres of coral and marine life. The best snorkeling is about a mile from shore. The beach itself is quiet and secluded.

These are some (but not all) of the best beaches in the Bahamas. Of course, each beach has something to offer, and there are many other attractive beaches.

Red Sand Beach In Heavenly Hana, Maui is Wonderful Hawaiian

Red Sand Beach Maui HawaiiIn heavenly Hana, Maui is wonderful Hawaiian hamlet located on the isolated east shore, you'll find a beautiful view from the distinctive local landmark, Ka uiki Head of the beautiful coastline, offshore Alau Island, and the Hotel Hana Maui Plantation Cottages.

Hana, in East Maui, has beaches of many colors and sizes. Kaihalulu (Roaring Sea), or Red Sand Beach, is worth a trip on the legendary Hana Highway. This beach, Located on the far side of Ka uiki Hill south of Hana Bay is Kaihalulu, better known as Red Sand Beach. The sand gets its red-black color from the crumbling cindercone hill that surrounds the bay. Swimming is poor except when the ocean is very calm. The path to the beach is slippery due to the crumbling cinder and pine needles from the ironwood trees. But the view of the red sand against the blue sea bracketed by the green ironwood trees and a rocky lava sea wall is unmatched! This beach is very isolated and nude sunbathers sometimes visit the area.

Access to the beach is tricky, due to its wild, remote setting. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes or sandals. Take Uakea Road beyond the turnoff to Hana Bay. Keep going until you pass tennis courts on the right and a community center on the left. Across a field between the community center and a hotel, pick up a path. Take the path to a Japanese cemetery and turn right. The trail is steep and slippery and you will need to hang on to the ironwood trees. The trail suddenly turns a corner and into view comes the stunning red beach.
