The bigger one of the two islands ( Besar in Malay mean big ). The accommodations is distributed over four nice beaches.Perhentian Besar has longer and wider beaches and finer sand than its sibling, Perhentian Kecil. Most of the beaches are distributed to its western and southeastern side, among these, Teluk Pauh, Pasir Panjang, and Teluk Dalam are the most famous and popular.Teluk Pauh in the north in front of the Perhentian Island Resort, the main beach with most of the resorts at the west coast ( Tanjung Genting and Pasir Raja ) and Teluk Dalam on the island's south-east coast. Teluk Pauh the best beach on the islands, a beautiful half-moon bay with white powdery sand and water as clear.
Teluk Dalam, on the south of the island is a beautiful wide curved bay with a white fine sandy beach. The water is quite shallow here, the corals mostly destroyed. You can laze away in hammocks under shady caesarians. Here it is in contrast to the other beaches still quite peaceful.
Perhentian Kecil
