Capri was an Italy island resort…for relax on vacation since long times ago about the name Capri was 2 story, first “Caprea” means stone surface and the second is “Capraim” means 2 cottage in Greece language because this island had been Greece’s colony then pass to Roman empire by Augustus emperor (29 years before time).

Capri Island is a stop point when Augustus emperor back from war to Rome, he was love in Capri Island then order to establish the luxury villa for vacation. Times after times the Roman empire was destroyed Capri Island had been take over by many of powerfull such as Turkey, Spain and finally it’s was part of Italy. Capri Island very famouse and popular…traveler come from Italy and around the world.

How to get there

You can get there by boat, most of traveler come from Sorrento (another beach side resort town) or Naples (Italy important port)

By Naples you will take 45 minutes jet boat but from Sorrento it’s less than 45 minutes because it’s close.

Capri Island

It’s a medium size island, located on southwest of Italy if compare by Italy map shape (boot shoe) it’s stay on the middle of leg

All area about 11 Km. square, 6 Km. long and width about 3 Km. Around the edge is about 17 Km.

Capri Island is a big limestone, most of local people stay on the foothills that higher than sea-level by 450-900 foot, look like white stick push through the stone.

Most of area on Capri Island is taken by the rich man’s villa. While the origin people was about 12,000 another was traveler who come to vacation.

The port on Capri Island was not big, it’s set like a stone border for protect the wind. Many shop was stand and small beach for kids. Paradise for bask and swim lover.
